Built-up Area (निर्माण क्षेत्र):
Total covered area including walls, in square feet. This is the carpet area plus wall thickness. Use your plan or architect's drawing for accurate measurement.

Rate per sq ft (प्रति वर्ग फुट लागत):
Construction cost per square foot varies by city, material quality, and finish (basic, semi-premium, premium). Common range: ₹1,200–₹2,500+ in metros. Check local contractors for current rates.

Contingency (आकस्मिकता):
Extra budget for unexpected costs—design changes, material price rises, or unforeseen work. 10% is typical; 15–20% if the plan is likely to change.
Formula Used (उपयोग किया गया सूत्र)
Base Cost = Area (sq ft) × Rate per sq ft
Total Cost = Base Cost + (Base Cost × Contingency %)

Example: 1000 sq ft × ₹1500 = ₹15,00,000 base; with 10% contingency = ₹16,50,000 total
Do's and Don'ts (क्या करें और क्या न करें)
Do's:
